So, what is in an SEO report? Our SEO reports are designed to show the impact that our work has done for your business, as well as, what we plan on doing moving forward. You will receive your SEO report on a monthly basis.
We do our best to write each report with as little jargon as possible – after all, that is why you hired us! Each SEO report follows an easy to digest framework with monthly performance highlights. Here are some of the topics we cover in each SEO report.
This is the first section of the report where we go over all of the work completed in the previous month. This will include high-level line items, small tweaks, and routine maintenance.
While every account is unique and comes with its own set of goals to accomplish, there are routine SEO tasks that must be completed on all accounts. As an agency, we have access to tools that can help us isolate these more technical issues on a routine basis. Each SEO package comes with MOZ Reporting which helps our in-house SEO experts identify and fix high priority issues like broken links, duplicate content errors, server errors, and crawl errors. Each of these items, when ignored, have a huge impact on your overall SEO performance.
This section will give you a breakdown of the keywords we are tracking for your business. You will be able to see how you are ranking locally and nationally. This section is fully transparent and will show the direct results of our team’s hard work!
This is a comparison between your business and your top three competitors. Your search visibility score is the percentage of clicks estimated based on your rankings positions, across all of the keywords tracked in your campaign. But….what does this mean?
In the most basic sense, this is a breakdown of how easily your target market can find you when googling your tracked keywords as compared to your competitors.
There are two different types of link building. Internal links and external links. Internal linking is including links to your own website on relevant pages within your own site. For example, if you are a plumbing company and you offer residential and commercial services it is useful to link to your residential services page on your commercial page just in case your client has landed in the wrong place.
External links are links on your website that direct users to a different site completely. These are great if the site you are linking to is well regarded.
While link building might sound easy – it can be tricky because Google wants you to have the right amount. You shouldn’t have too little and you shouldn’t have too many! We will keep track of this and make recommendations in our monthly reporting!
Finally, we end each a report with a “What Happens Next” session where we detail any SEO recommendations we may have for your unique account, as well as, what we plan on doing in the following month.
These reports are invaluable because, unlike traditional advertising, SEO can be a lot harder to track. These reports also give you a lot of insight into the habits of your customers/users which can be used in all aspects of your marketing strategy whether it be digital or physical!
