Senior Marketing Content Writer

Job Description

This is a full time, permanent, in house position to develop, write and produce marketing content for ourselves and our clients, including but not limited to:

  • Keyword Research
  • Landing Page writing (PPC & SEO)
  • SEO Optimization
  • Blog Posts
  • Social Media posts
  • Email marketing campaigns
  • Marketing Automation Emails
  • Website content
  • Press Releases
  • Infographics
  • Content for paid ad’s

 

Responsibilities (under the direction of the Business Manager) :

  • Set up Google Analytics and AdWords Accounts
  • Write landing pages
  • Website Copywriting
  • Copyediting
  • Optimize content for SEO (including meta title’s & descriptions)
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of company branding and marketing materials
  •  Development and circulation of press releases, email marketing campaigns, and subscriber lists
  • Assist with monitoring ongoing social media, reputation, and review marketing
  • Manage blog content writing and image sourcing
  • Provide innovation and creativity in the form of continuous improvement to internal processes
  • Facilitate and participate in client production strategy meetings and liaise with project manager
  • Organize and conduct client interviews and research where necessary along with following up
  • Meet or exceed deadlines
  • Provide clients with an exceptional customer experience
  • Write and disseminate regular reports to show the effectiveness of SEM and SEO programs (will train)
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written language
  • Help build WordPress websites when required (will train)
  • Migrate website content from one website platform to another
  • Optimize websites for SEO using Yoast
  • Avoid and eliminate duplicate content from websites
  • Assist in fixing SEO issues using Semrush and other popular SEO tools and resources
  • Take the company-sponsored Advanced Marketing Program course and learn with the team
  • Participate in monthly and adhoc training as required
  • Develop tools and guidelines to help ensure consistency across all marketing communications, including a quality assurance process

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong command of the English language both written and oral
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the industry
  • Marketing and Corporate communications background an asset
  • Press release or Newsletter writing experience
  • Excellent SEO copywriting skills – concise and simple
  • Demonstrate strong multitasking ability with multiple concurrent projects
  • Be courteous, prompt, and timely with excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop rapport and gain clients trust through impeccable customer service and follow up skills
  • Able to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a team member
  • Understanding of search engines, SEO, blogging and social media
  • Experience with Google Analytics, AdWords, and Pay Per Click advertising programs an asset
  • Ability to track, measure, and modify techniques based on web analytics data (will train).
  • Link Management and Link Building experience an asset (will train).
  • Excellent analytical, organization and communication skills.
  • Deadline driven, passionate, determined to succeed, and stay on top of a rapidly changing industry
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Digital Marketing Certificate or equivalent demonstrated interest.
