AGL is a premier supplier of industrial products and engineered systems in Western Canada. They supply industrial air, gas, liquid, and engineered solutions to various industries including oil and gas, pulp and paper, chemical and petroleum, and mining.
While AGL is a sister company to Wiseworth Canada, the master distributor for Ingersoll-Rand products in BC and the Yukon, it has the flexibility of offering a variety of different brands and engineering solutions worldwide.
When they approached Think Profits, the AGL services were featured on a separate page of the Wiseworth site. As a result, there were too many categories on the website, making it difficult to manage and hard to advertise the variety of brands and unique services that AGL offers.
Our development team created a new website for AGL that was separate from Wiseworth. Following a similar visual design to the Wiseworth site, we tweaked some elements to make information easier to find and improve overall user experience.
The Wiseworth site used Adobe Business Catalyst for content management, but after discussions with the Think Profits team, it became clear that this CMS just wasn’t working. The development team created a new database for AGL that was easy to use and allowed them to organize and manage their site with ease.
The Think Profits team performed keyword research based on industry trends. Using this information, our production team wrote SEO landing pages to get the new website ranking in search engines.
There is now a clear division between AGL and Wiseworth. By creating a separate site for AGL, it allowed the company to develop its brand and promote its unique services.
The site has seen significant increases in organic traffic as a result of the SEO landing pages that Think Profits produced. The keywords provided by Think Profits have put AGL in a high-ranking position on page one of both Google and Bing.
The success of the customized CMS Think Profits installed on the AGL site prompted Wiseworth to drop the Adobe Business Catalyst model from their site, and engage the Think Profits team in a new development project for the Wiseworth brand.
