Bing customizes results specifically for the person who is searching, this is a feature Google now implement as well. Ranking 21 according to web traffic data and analytics company Alexa, Bing holds a large share of online traffic. In 2009 Microsoft made a ten-year deal to replace the Yahoo! search engine with Bing, and years later Bing is firmly known as Google’s primary competitor in the search engine space. However, ‘Bing Powered’ U.S searches have declined year by year now comprising only 20% of total searches made, Bing is widely used but many businesses wonder ‘what is Bing?’
Bing has a platform similar to Google Plus that allows businesses to set-up an account, this feature is called ‘Bing for Business,’ helping companies put themselves in the database and become searchable with the correct information.
